However, the truth is, is that no one knows what the future has in store for us. The only real dimension where we can live is in the present. Why does it seem so difficult to be in the present? Because we have to let go of our harsh attachment to our goals. Because we lose our control of managing our life and leave it in God’s hands. Because we can lose sympathy from others by not behaving as society expects if we show our negative qualities. Because we won’t be responsible for our future which will decrease the importance of our personal identity. If we acknowledge the fact that we’ll never know our future, then we will have to accept that what is to come is a false creation of our mind. At first it seems terrifying. However, there is a possibility that we don’t have to behave according to strict patterns and societal expectations. We don’t need to think that life is supposed to be perfectly planned. We don’t need to prepare or be responsible for any milestones. This will lead us to be authentic like we have never been before.
